Tri-Metallic (TEFLON PURPOSE)

Teflon is an artificially synthesized high polymer material that replaced all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene with fluorine. This material has the characteristics of resistance to acid and alkaline and various kinds of organic solvents; it is virtually insoluble to all solvents. At the same time, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is also resistant to high temperatures with extremely low friction coefficient. Thus, in addition to acting as a lubricant, it is also an ideal coating for non-stick pans and inner layers of pipes.
However, due to the high molding temperature of Teflon and its tendency to release highly corrosive gases under a high-temperature environment, it will cause corrosion to the barrel within a short time. Therefore, Tan Star is actively researching Teflon purpose tri-metallic barrels; the high percentage of nickel content allows the barrel to have superior anti-corrosion capabilities, effectively resistive to the acidic gases produced by Teflon.
